This home on the side of a canyon in the hills above Oakland, California was originally a narrow modular 2-story home built in the 1970's.   The work to the existing home included renovations and a structural retrofit for earthquake safety.

A large 3-story structure was added to the home, which includes a large roof deck for views of the canyon and Bay Area.   The addition also contains a large master suite, office/bedroom, and living room with a bar for entertaining.
